Discovery Camps (Fall, Winter, Summer) feature hands-on, educational lessons and activities around a central theme designated for that camp week. All camps take place outdoors in our Nature Nodes, and are filled with nature walks, animal interactions, and crafts. Camp groups are split by age ranges and capped at 12 campers per group with 1 teacher. Camps is for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade.

Kindergarten through 5th grade. Campers must be potty trained.
Camp begins at 9:00am and ends at 3:00pm. Campers may be dropped off as early as 8:45am and picked up as late as 3:15pm.
Yes, however our campers are divided into groups by grade level. Curricula and activities are designed for these different groups which are developmentally distinct from each other.
All camp registrations remain open until camp is full. Even if the camp has already begun.
Enrollment is limited to small classes of 12 students per teacher with volunteers.
All of the camp teachers are AHLF employees in our Academy for Environmental Stewardshio who teach here throughout the school year.
Each camp involves learning about nature in nature with hands on activities, take home recycled crafts, nature hikes and animal interactions. The specific cirriculum and lessons will be unique to the camp theme. Each week has a different theme and different activities. Feel free to sign up for more than one session!
No, each camper is responsible for bringing their own snack and lunch. Discovery Camp includes a snack and lunch break each day.
